Malladi Brothers Malladi Brothers Sreeram Prasad and Ravikumar were born with a legacy and rich tradition accrued through their grandfather Late Malladi Srirama Murthy and through their father, a great Harikatha (spiritual story telling) exponent of his time in Andhra Pradesh. Both the brothers received musical training from their father-vocalist, Malladi Suri Babu, himself a disciple of the great Late Voleti Venkateswarulu. Sangeetha Kalanidhi NedunuriKrishnamurthy, realizing the potential of Malladi Brothers took them under his guidance to represent his rich style of music. Malladi brothers possess a large repertoire of Carnatic compositions and possess a vibrant and powerful voice. The brothers have been the most sought after young maestros. They have travelled extensively all over India and abroad promoting and preserving the rich traditional music they represent. Malladis have several audio publications to their credit and have performed in prestigious venues in India and abroad.
Vittal Rangan Vittal Rangan started learning violin at age 8 initially from Late Sri. RR Keshavamurthy, and later from Sangeetha Kalanidhi Kum A Kanyakumari. He is an 'A' graded violinist and recipient of the Shanmukhananda Bharat Ratna Dr MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship Award and the CCRT Scholarship. He has won several awards including1st Prize in All India Radio National Competition 2010, Best Violinist Award at Kalavanta National Youth Festival–2014,Best Violinist Parthasarathy Sabha, Chennai–2015,Raga Laya Prabha–2019, Ananya Yuva Puraskara Award 2009,Rotary Young Achievers Award,1stPrize in Instrumental Music Academy Madras 2008. He performs with his Guru Kum. A Kanyakumari all over India and abroad. He has also accompanied great stalwarts and other senior musicians such as Padmabhushan Sri RK Srikantan, Padmabhushan Sri TV Shankaranarayanan, Sri. OS Thyagarajan, Sangeetha Kala Acharya Smt Neela Ramgopal, Sri. S. Shankar, Sri. Sanjay Subrahmanyan, Smt Ranjani & Gayathri, Smt. Kaushiki Chakraborty, Smt Vishaka Hari, Sri T.M. Krishna, Sri. N. Ravikiran, Sri Sashank, Sri Abhishek Raghuram, Sri. TNS Krishna, Sri.Kunnakudi Balamuralikrishna, and Sri. Saketharaman.
Sumesh Narayanan Sumesh Narayanan has been under the tutelage of Mridangam Maestro Kalaimamani Sri Thiruvaarur Bakthavathsalam for more than 18 years and has acquired the nuances of the traditional gurukulam approach of learning. Sumesh has been performing for more than a decade in the Chennai’s prestigious Sabhas and also frequents many other cultural hubs in the country. He also has to his credit, the experiences of collaborating with a number of contemporary musicians in many world music ventures. Owing to the same, he has been featured in prestigious magazines like the Open magazine, Sruthi, Provoke Lifestyle and others on a number of occasions apart from newspaper reviews and articles. Apart from being a classical performing artist, Sumesh has also been a part of a number of innovative outfits that cut across musical genres and styles resulting in a contemporary flavour that suits the mind-set of the newer generation.
